Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Alchemist Corp Ltd ("we," "our," or "us"), a company incorporated in the United Kingdom with its registered address at CIBA Building, 146 Hagley Rd, Birmingham, United Kingdom, B16 9NX, collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information. We provide a Software-as-a-Service platform that enables users to create a real-time API from their Google Sheets. In delivering this service, we comply fully with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and other applicable privacy laws.

Information We Collect

When you use our service, we collect the personal information you provide when creating an account, including your name, email address, and billing details. When you connect your Google account to our platform, we request access via Google OAuth to certain Google Sheets and related APIs, strictly for the purpose of enabling the service you have chosen to use. We also collect limited technical and usage information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, and activity logs for security and performance reasons. Payment transactions are handled by Stripe, and while we receive confirmation of payment, we do not store your payment card details. Finally, we use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience and to understand how you interact with our site, including through Google Ads analytics and retargeting.

How We Use Your Information

We use your personal data to provide and maintain the service, to authenticate your connection with Google Sheets, to manage subscriptions and process payments, and to send important transactional messages such as receipts and support notifications. We may also process your information to comply with our legal obligations, to improve our platform, to detect and prevent fraud, and, where you have given consent, to provide you with updates and marketing communications. We never use the contents of your Google Sheets for advertising purposes.

Google API Services

Our use of Google user data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only access, use, and store Google user data to provide core service functionality. We do not use Google Sheets data for ad targeting, and we do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as required to deliver the service or to meet legal obligations.

Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on several legal bases under UK GDPR. The primary basis is contractual necessity: we must process your information to provide the service you signed up for. We also rely on your consent for the use of cookies, analytics, and marketing. In some cases, we process data based on legitimate interests, such as improving the service or preventing fraud, and we process data when necessary to meet legal obligations.

How We Share Your Data

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information with trusted third parties that help us deliver our service, such as Stripe for billing, Google for OAuth authentication, and hosting and analytics providers. Where required by law, we may disclose information to authorities or regulators.

International Transfers

Your data may be stored and processed within the UK and the European Economic Area. Some of our providers, such as Google and Stripe, may transfer data outside these regions. In such cases, we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses to ensure compliance with UK GDPR and to safeguard your information.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. Your account data is retained while your account is active. OAuth tokens are deleted as soon as you disconnect your Google account or close your account entirely. Billing information is retained for six years for tax and regulatory reasons.

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access the data we hold about you, to request correction of inaccuracies, to request deletion, to restrict or object to processing, and to request the transfer of your data to another service. Where we process your data based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected].

Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies to enable core functionality, to analyse website performance, and to provide marketing through Google Ads. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though this may impact the functionality of the service.

Children’s Privacy

Our service is not intended for children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under this age.
